Giveaway Vlog

Today is the day I promised to debut my first vlog with the announcement of the winner of the first ever MOMSICLE VIBE giveaway!  I am really excited to pass along the birthday cake bunting to the lucky winner.

But I'll have to do that another day.

Because I'm still sick.

Announcement vlog pending...  Boo.

Instead, here are some conversation snippets from the past few weeks that have kept me smiling through this dreary, germy spring...

Soleil:

"Come here shweetheart Mommy, I need a kiss you!"

To herself after a lengthy soliloquy:

"I just can't stop... I just can't stop... TALKIN'!"

Whilst kissing a baby goat:

"Oh hun, you just so warm... you just so soft... you got nice tail."

We canceled my birthday party this year because I was mute and grumpy due to eternal illness.  Soleil still went to her scheduled sleepover and Hubs and I settled in with a plate of cheese and olives to enjoy a quiet evening.  I had just been vaguely missing Soleil when Hubs said:

"It just feels like something is missing when she's not here, even though she'd just be asleep right now.  It is a little unsettling when the pack isn't together.  I like her in our den."

Soleil during lunch time:

"I just gotta put this pea up my nose... OK, Mommy?"

Soleil whispering to her best friend:

"Come here Elbow, come with me!  You come too, Elbow, lets go living room and find toys.  Awwww, you so nice, Elbow."

Yes, she walks around with her little arm bent like a chicken wing talking to her best bud all the time.  Good old Elbow goes everywhere with her.

And one of my faves is, "OH LOOK!  Boootiful mountains, Mommy.  So nice!"  When she was a babe and I packed her everywhere, chatting to her about everything I could see, I had no idea how lovely it would be to hear it all echoed back to me 2 years later.
